The parishes of the New Albany Deanery and Catalyst Catholic are pleased to provide monthly fellowship events for Middle School youth. Each event will include opportunities for prayer and community-building among youth in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties.

  • Open to 6th-8th grade students in the New Albany Deanery (parishes and schools)

  • Cost $10 per person (unless otherwise noted)

    Next up for MSM is our first Guys & Gals Night! We’ll start with some time for the guys and gals to enjoy their own activities and snacks, then come together for some epic boys vs. girls challenges. Think tug of war, Nerf wars, and more as we battle it out for bragging rights!

    The Jam is a middle school experience like no other! Your 6th, 7th, 8th graders will have the opportunity to encounter Christ in a dynamic way. This part-retreat, part-lock-in will be a night of crazy-awesome fun and JOY IN THE LORD! Your child will experience engaging talks, play games through the night, have small group time, listen to great music, and experience Eucharistic Adoration with dozens of new friends! Registration for this event is $20 and includes dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday.

Following Mass and dinner, we'll kick off a thrilling tournament of clock-racing challenges like cup stack and human ring toss, building up to an epic face-off and crowning of our Minute to Win It champion!     Get ready to splash, slide, and score at the final MSM of the year! This isn't your ordinary game of kickball – we're turning it up a notch with a mix of slip 'n slide fun and other exciting outdoor water games. When you need a break from the action, stop by the chill zone for refreshing snacks and drinks. 

    No swimsuits please; bring a towel and change of clothes. In case of bad weather, kickball and dodgeball will be played in the gym.

*Registration Procedures

To allow event coordinators enough time to arrange for chaperones and purchase supplies, registration is required in advance for all Middle School Monthly events. The following procedure will be used for events in 2024-2025:

  • Registration closes at 11:59pm the Sunday before the event, unless otherwise noted. This deadline allows our youth ministers to prepare for the event including confirming a proper number of volunteers, ordering supplies and food, etc.

  • A waitlist will be created after the registration deadline. Substitutions will be made if a registered youth cancels before the close of regular business hours. Contact the Catalyst office to be added. 

  • Payment is required online at the time of registration. If you need an alternative form of payment, please contact the Catalyst office.

  • Refunds are offered up to the registration deadline (minus the 3% transaction fee).

  • Events are open to all middle school youth in grades 6-8. Participants should be registered members of a Catholic parish or school and may bring a guest. (The guest must be registered independently and have a completed online permission form.)
