Now more than ever, it is time to stand up for the sanctity of human life at the state level. Join the young Church of the New Albany Deanery for a one-day pilgrimage to Indianapolis, where decisions are made every day that impact life in our state. We will peacefully pray and march to defend the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.

 

When: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 | 6:15am–7:30pm

Schedule:

  • 6:15am Meet at Mt. St. Francis

    • 6:45am 2nd meeting point at St. Francis Xavier, Henryville

  • 9:00am Youth Rally for Life

  • 11:30am Mass for Life with the Bishops of Indiana

  • 1:00pm Lunch

  • 1:45pm March for Life

  • 2:30pm Rally at the Capitol Building

  • 4:30pm Dinner & Debrief

  • 7:30pm Pickup at Mt. St. Francis

Cost:
There is no charge to join the deanery for this pilgrimage. However, participants should bring money to buy dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home.

For who:
Youth in 8th through 12th grade are invited to attend with Catalyst Catholic. Adult chaperones are also needed.

Where:

  • Drop off and pick up at the Catalyst Catholic Office (101 St. Anthony Dr. / Mt. St. Francis, IN)

  • Youth rally and Mass at Indiana Convention Center (100 S Capitol Ave., Indianapolis, IN)

  • March from Georgia Street to Capitol Building

  • Rally at Capitol Building (200 W Washington St., Indianapolis, IN)

Packing list:

  • A simple sack lunch

  • Money for dinner at Cracker Barrel

  • Weather-appropriate gear

  • Pro-life signs

  • A bag to carry items throughout the day

Things to know:

  • You are encouraged to ask school administrators if such an event is considered an excused absence. Catalyst Catholic will provide an excused absence letter to all who register.

  • Transportation is being organized by Catalyst Catholic to and from Mount Saint Francis. If you have a van that we could borrow, please contact kelli@catalystcatholic.org.

  • There are accommodations for those who have physical limitations that do not allow for the 30-minute march from the Indiana Convention Center to the capitol building.
